Each 5 ml contains

Levodropropizine BP   30 mg

Chlorpheniramine Maleate IP   2 mg

 

SUMMARY

Levodropropizine is a peripherally-acting antitussive agent.

Chlorpheniramine Maleate is a histamine-H1 receptor antagonist indicated for the management of symptoms associated with upper respiratory allergies.

Cough Suppressant and Anti-allergic

 

INDICATIONS

Dry Cough, Itchy throat/skin, Allergy, Common cold, Hay fever, Watery eyes, Rhinitis, Urticaria.

 

DOSAGE AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION

Route of Administration: Oral

 

The dose must be as directed by the physician. Consult your physician before administering this medication in children. It should not be taken by children less than 2 years.

 

CONTRAINDICATIONS 

  • Known hypersensitivity to Levodropropizine or Chlorpheniramine maleate or any other components of the formulation.
  • Alcohol should not be consumed while administering this medication. 
  • Any other sedatives should be not be administered.
  • This medication should not be administered for wet cough (mucus/sputum discharge).
  • Patients with history of severe kidney insufficiency or liver impairment.
  • Patients with limited mucociliary function

 

PREGNANCY AND LACTATION

Use of this medication during pregnancy and lactation is not advised unless directed by the physician.

 

STORAGE AND HANDLING

Shake the bottle well before use. Keep the medication stored at normal room temperature and out of reach of children and pets. Dispose unused medications and expired medications properly to avoid adverse effects.
