COMPOSITION

Each 5 ml contains:

Terbutaline Sulphate IP                    2.5 mg

Bromhexine Hydrochloride IP         8 mg

 

DOSAGE FORM: Syrup

 

THERAPEUTIC CLASS: Bronchodilator, Mucolytic, Cough Expectorant

 

INDICATIONS:

  • Productive Cough in acute and chronic bronchitis
  • Chest congestion and tightness
  • Reversible airway obstructive diseases
  • Bronchospastic disorders such as eosinophilia
  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
  • Asthma

DOSAGE AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION

Adults and Elderly: As recommended by the physician.

 

CONTRAINDICATIONS 

Cofsy-BM is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Terbutaline or Bromhexine.

 

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS 

Should be used with caution in patients with hyperthyroidism

 

ADVERSE REACTIONS

  • CNS side effects like anxiety, fear, tremor, restlessness, confusion
  • Reduction of appetite and nausea and vomiting
  • Tinnitus
  • Tachycardia, Palpitations
  • Muscle cramps
  • Headache
