COMPOSITION
Each 5 ml contains:
Terbutaline Sulphate IP 2.5 mg
Bromhexine Hydrochloride IP 8 mg
DOSAGE FORM: Syrup
THERAPEUTIC CLASS: Bronchodilator, Mucolytic, Cough Expectorant
INDICATIONS:
- Productive Cough in acute and chronic bronchitis
- Chest congestion and tightness
- Reversible airway obstructive diseases
- Bronchospastic disorders such as eosinophilia
- Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
- Asthma
DOSAGE AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
Adults and Elderly:
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Cofsy-BM is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Terbutaline or Bromhexine.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS
Should be used with caution in patients with hyperthyroidism
ADVERSE REACTIONS
- CNS side effects like anxiety, fear, tremor, restlessness, confusion
- Reduction of appetite and nausea and vomiting
- Tinnitus
- Tachycardia, Palpitations
- Muscle cramps
- Headache
