INDICATIONS

  • Prevention of endometrial hyperplasia in non-hysterectomized postmenopausal women who are receiving conjugated estrogens tablets.
  • Treat abnormal uterine bleeding associated with hormonal imbalance.
  • Secondary amenorrhea.
  • As supplementation in women with a history of miscarriage

 

DOSAGE AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION

Route of Administration: Oral

 

The dose must be as directed by the physician. It is recommended to be taken with or without food.

 

This medication should not be used in children as safety and efficacy has not been established.


 

CONTRAINDICATIONS 

  • Known hypersensitivity to progesterone, soybean lecithin, and peanut or to any of the excipients.
  • Patients with deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, cerebral hemorrhage or history of these conditions.
  • Known or suspected breast cancer, estrogen-dependent malignant tumors and porphyria.
  • Not to be used as contraceptive.
  • Patients with unusual uterine bleeding.

 

PREGNANCY AND LACTATION

This medication is safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. However, this medication is used during first trimester of pregnancy. A proper consultation is strictly advised before administration.

 

STORAGE AND HANDLING

Keep the medication stored at normal room temperature and out of reach of children and pets. Dispose unused medications and expired medications properly to avoid adverse effects.
