Each film coated tablet contains Mebeverine HCl BP 135 mg
Description:
IBOSYN contains Mebeverine HCl Tablets which is Gastro-intestinal anti-spasmodics. Mebeverine belongs to a group of compounds called musculotropic antispasmodics with a selective action, especially on smooth muscle spasms of the gastro-intestinal tract.
Indications:
Spastic functional disturbances of the colon:
- Irritable bowel syndrome in its primary form
- Irritable bowel syndrome associated with organic lesions of the gastrointestinal tract such as; diverticulosis and diverticulitis, regional enteritis, disease of the gall bladder and gall ducts, gastric and duodenal ulcers, dysentery, and a specific or specific inflammation of the digestive tract.
DOSE
IBOSYN (1 tablet) 3 times daily, preferably 20 minutes before meals. After a period of a few weeks when the desired effect has been obtained, the dosage may be gradually reduced.
As atropine-like effects are absent, IBOSYN 135 mg is not contra-indicated in patients with glaucoma or prostatic hypertrophy.
